MHService was certified as a Miljøfyrtårn (Eco-Lighthouse) in 2023. The latest report can be read here: MHService
Miljøfyrtårn is a Norwegian certification scheme for businesses that want to work systematically with sustainability and environmental management. The certification is recognised by the EU and is one of the most widely used environmental certifications in Norway. It helps companies, municipalities and organisations reduce their environmental impact and meet the requirements for sustainable operations.
To achieve the certification, a business must go through a process in which it documents and improves its routines across several environmental areas:
Miljøfyrtårn certification is not only a mark of quality for environmental work, but can also contribute to cost savings, a stronger reputation and a competitive advantage in tender processes.
MHService is ISCC-certified. ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification) is one of the world’s leading certification systems for sustainable biomass and renewable fuels. For us it means that the renewable fuel we supply – such as HVO and biodiesel – can be documented as sustainable across the entire supply chain, from feedstock to vessel.

ISCC EU is recognised by the European Commission as documentation that renewable fuel meets the sustainability criteria of the EU Renewable Energy Directive (RED). The certification requires the feedstock to be traceable and produced without deforestation or loss of valuable natural areas, and that the reduction in greenhouse-gas emissions is calculated and documented. Through ISCC, our customers can confidently document the climate benefit of choosing renewable fuel from MHService.
