Marine Gas Oil (MGO) – clean distillate fuel for vessels

MGO (Marine Gas Oil) is a clean, free-flowing distillate fuel for marine diesel engines and boilers. It is supplied in accordance with ISO 8217 and is the standard choice for fishing vessels, live fish carriers, service vessels and the rest of the coastal fleet.

MHService delivers MGO directly to vessels at quay, by tank truck or by bunker vessel – fast and efficient. Marine gas oil is supplied with the required marker and dye for duty-free use at sea.

Benefits of MGO

• Low sulphur content: Max 0.10 % sulphur – meets the requirements in Emission Control Areas (ECA) and is well below the global cap in MARPOL Annex VI.
• Safe on board: Flash point of minimum 60 °C in accordance with SOLAS requirements for marine fuel.
• Easy operation: No preheating or extensive purification required – clean combustion means less maintenance of separators and fuel systems.
• Good storage stability: Normally supplied without bio-components (FAME-free), reducing the risk of microbial growth in tanks that stand for long periods.
• Good cold-flow properties and lubricity for both high-speed and medium-speed engines.

Documentation on delivery

With every bunkering you receive a Bunker Delivery Note (BDN) with documented sulphur content, in line with MARPOL requirements.
