Service – it’s in our nature as well as in our name

In 2025, most oils sold in Norway are of very high quality – and most customers will only buy oils approved by the machine manufacturer. Nevertheless, we want you to have a better experience when buying your oil from MHService than from other places. So let’s talk about what we do to make that happen.

On land and at sea alike, our little corner of the world is characterized by changing weather and road conditions. No matter how remote, lots of things must be done “on the spot”. People who work in such conditions eventually develop a strained relationship with suppliers who confine their work to regular office hours – ours is not a nine-to-five life.



“We’re regularly contacted by people who are under a tremendous time pressure. They may be in the middle of a job that’s impossible to postpone, or they may be on assignments where a few hours of waiting will cost them thousands of dollars,” explains Trond Marius Haug Sørensen, salesperson at MHService.

“In such situations, many have come to appreciate that MHService has a business model built around 24-hour service and a large inventory of a wide range of products. We also have a large international network that enables us to help people almost anywhere in the world,” he says.

Regardless of the situation, for the employees at MHService, it’s about making the path short to supply customers with what they need so they can continue their work with minimal interruption.

“January of this year, we received an inquiry from a Norwegian customer who owned a vessel that was unloading goods somewhere far north in the British Isles. The boat suddenly experienced an oil leak in its hydraulic system, and since they were handling food-related products, they were prohibited from refilling with lubricants that are not food-grade.”

“We hit the phones to contact people in our network in or near the area. Through them, we managed to track down a dealer who had oil that was both food-grade certified, approved for use on the specific machine, and available in stock. Shortly after, the oil was on its way, and the customer received help in a precarious situation,” says Trond Marius.

He explains that MHService has a long tradition of going the extra mile to assist loyal customers.

“There have been times when I’ve jumped in the car myself, to drive a few hours just to deliver oil to the customer  – if they’re really in a pinch. We can’t do that sort of thing every day, and we don’t do it for just anyone, but we pride ourselves on running a business where our customers aren’t sent to voicemail or met with ‘call back during business hours!’ That’s not how our customers do business – and therefore we can’t operate that way either,” Trond Marius affirms.
